| Top Analyst Firm Positions RSA in Leaders Quadrant for Data Loss Prevention | |

EMCs Security Division Recognized based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute RSA, The Security Division of EMC, today announced that it is positioned in the Leaders quadrant within Gartner's 2010 Magic Quadrant for Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention(DLP). The positioning is based on completeness of vision and ability to execute and evaluates its RSAź Data Loss Prevention Suite. It appears in the June 2, 2010 report by Paul Proctor and Eric Ouellet entitled, "Magic Quadrant for Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention." According to Gartner, content-aware DLP technologies are "those that - as a core function - perform content inspection of data at rest or in motion, and can execute responses, ranging from simple notification to active blocking, based on policy settings. To be considered, products must support sophisticated detection techniques that extend beyond simple keyword matching and regular expressions." The RSAź Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Suite is engineered to help organizations understand business risk from sensitive data and help systematically reduce it. This is achieved by discovering sensitive data, monitoring user actions, educating end users and security analysts on risk and finally enforcing controls to help prevent data leakage.
